About

Dr. Omar Faroque was bormn on 9th June, 1976 in Cumilla, Bangldesh. He expanded his childhood in Cumilla City. After that he went to United Arab Emirates due to his Father's Occupation and completed his Secondary Education Certificate(1993).and Higher Secondary Education from Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Bangladesh Islamia School & College, Abu Dhabi, UAE in the year of 1995. Then he received Graduation on Medical Science from Jahirul Islam Medical College under University of Dhaka in 2003. He Completed his Post Graduation in Ophthalmology from M A Ispahani Institute of Ophthalmology under Dhaka University in 2012. And the Fellowship in Super Specialized subject GLAUCOMA from National Institute of Ophthalmology in 2020. Dr. Omar Faroque is an accomplished Pioneer, Ophthalmologist & Glaucoma Specialist in Bangladesh.
He is happily married and the proud father of Two Lovely Daughter and Son. He lives in Dhaka Cantonment, Dhaka

Education

Dr. Omar Faroque completed MBBS from Jahirul Islam Medical College in 2003 under University of Dhaka. He Obtained his Post Graduation in Ophthalmology(D Optha) in the year 2012 From M A Ispahani Institute of Ophthalmology under university of Dhaka. He also did Post Graduate fellowship in Phaco Surgery from SUSRUT EYE FOUNDATION & RESEARCH CENTER, India in the year of 2015. He also completed post graduate sub speciality fellowship in GLAUCOMA at National Institute of Ophthalmology and Hospital, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He has introduced Phaco Surgery first in Cumilla City. 

Work Experience

Dr. Omar Faroque completed Internship training from Jahirul Islam Medical College in 2004. He worked as former Resident Medical Officer at Ispahani Islamia Eye Hospital, Farmgate, Dhaka from May 2005-September 2010. He worked as Consultant of Bangladesh Jatiya Andha Kallayan Somity, Cumilla from October 2010-Present He also did Post Graduate fellowship in Phaco Surgery from SUSRUT EYE FOUNDATION & RESEARCH CENTER, India in the year of 2015. He also completed post graduate sub speciality fellowship in GLAUCOMA at National Institute of Ophthalmology and Hospital, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He is the managing director & Consultant Glaucoma of Cumilla Eye Hospital and Phaco Center from July of 2013-Present. He also is a consultant Glaucoma, Vision Eye Hospital, Dhaka from January 2019-Present. He is the life member of Ophthalmological Society of Bangladesh Glaucoma Society of Bangladesh.
