Psychologist Dr. Ifrat Jahan is working as a Deputy Director (Psychology) at the Students Counselling and Guidance Centre, Jahangirnagar University, Savar, Dhaka. She has completed her PhD from the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Biological Sciences, University of Dhaka. She has completed a Post-Graduate Training (PGT) on Psychotherapy at the Psychotherapy Wing in the Department of Psychiatry in Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU). She has completed her Master of Science (MS) and Bachelor of Science (BSc Honors) in Psychology from the Department of Psychology, University of Dhaka. She has successfully participated in a number of training on Basic and Advanced Level of Counselling, CBT, DBT, NLP, Mindfulness, EMDR, TA, PTSD, Stress Management, Drug Addiction, Emotional Intelligence, Art Therapy, Social Skill Training and so on. She has many successful cases through counselling and psychotherapies in many psychological problems and disorders like adjustment problem, relationship problem, depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD and exam phobia etc. She is a member of reputed national and international professional organizations. She has published three scientific articles in reputed peer-reviewed national and international journals. She has participated in various national and international seminars, symposiums, workshops and conferences.
