We've been working with communities in some of the poorest parts of Bangladesh since 1994 to create a better life for children. CHALLENGES Bangladesh is one of the most densely populated and poorest countries in the world, where nearly half the population lives on less than US$2 a day. Many babies die due to malnourished mothers and poor antenatal care. Unsafe drinking water and poor sanitation put children at risk of deadly diseases. Exploitation and abuse of children is common. Bangladesh is prone to natural disasters.
